Topic Details

Description:

In this session, attendees will combine skills learned in the first session to execute GIS operations. This is a hands-on workshop so attendees will have the chance to practice everything taught during the lesson.

NB: This is an advanced topic so it is recommended that attendees first take one of the Intro to GIS workshops such as Introduction to ArcGIS Pro if they have no prior knowledge in GIS or the ArcGIS software before this one.

Note that, attendees could also join online or via zoom. However, for online participants to be able to do the exercises, they will need to download and install two separate applications:
ArcGIS Desktop: https://itac.txstate.edu/support/arcgis/desktop.html OR
ArcGIS Pro: https://itac.txstate.edu/support/arcgis/pro.html
AND
PyScripter 2.6: https://sourceforge.net/projects/pyscripter/files/PyScripter-v2.6/ OR
Pycharm Community: https://www.jetbrains.com/pycharm/download/#section=windows

If you’re unable to install them, please show up in class in Alkek 440.
