Alkek Library Visualization Wall Focus Group
The IT Division has begun the process of researching how new visualization technologies and learning spaces can play a role in nurturing research, collaboration and innovation within the Alkek Library.
Visualization walls are energy efficient flat-screen monitors placed into configurations that meet the requirements of the users and the space. These visualization walls use high-powered computers combined with high-resolution screens that can be combined with interactive touch and 3d technologies.
Educational applications include:
• Large audience presentation, viewing, and collaboration.
• Information and scientific visualization.
• Viewing Advanced Digital Arts and Media.
• Public Speaking and showcase events.
Your input and vision will help identify how various technologies may be used to enhance teaching, research and collaboration at the university.
