By now, many of you have heard of the artificial intelligence chatbot that’s sweeping the world: ChatGPT. We know that faculty have many questions, concerns, ideas, and thoughts surrounding the large language model—so let’s chat a-bot it.
We’ve put together a panel discussion with faculty from a variety of disciplines who have insight and wisdom to share during this shifting moment in academia. We will also have a representative from the Honor Code Council to provide guidance on best practices. While we may not have all the answers, we welcome faculty to join us for this much-anticipated session to learn and share knowledge, ideas, and practical take-aways for teaching and learning in the time of ChatGPT.
Panel Members:
Dr. Rachel Davenport, Senior Lecturer, Biology
Dr. Vangelis Metsis, Associate Professor, Computer Science
Dr. Floyd Quinn, Assistant Professor of Practice, Management
Dr. Brad Robinson, Assistant Professor, Curriculum and Instruction
Dr. Nancy Wilson, Professor, Director of Lower Division Studies, English
