Are you a faculty member in a STEM discipline interested in helping students of color recognize and use their strengths to be successful in your course and in their STEM fields? In this hands-on workshop, Dr. Shetay Ashford-Hanserd will explain the tenets of Community Cultural Wealth (CCW) theory, share findings from her empirical research on the benefits of using CCW to support students of color, and offer practical ways to apply CCW in your classroom, lab, or other learning environment to facilitate positive learning outcomes and student success in STEM majors.
