This workshop begins with a short lecture on data sonification: what it is, a brief history, how it is used today. Then, participants will learn the basics of PureData, a visual programming language for audio, and make their own basic "patch" for data sonification. This workshop is open to all students, faculty, and staff - no prior knowledge of coding is required! Participants may wish to bring a pair of headphones to this workshop.
