Come explore the new technology spaces in Alkek Library!
In this one-hour session, registrants will tour Alkek One—the new hub of technology spaces that recently opened on the first floor of Alkek Library. The spaces in Alkek One feature a variety of emerging technology that centers on maker culture, immersive reality, time-based media, geographic information systems, and digital design. Individual spaces include: MakerSpace, Immersion Studio, YouStar Studios, GeoSpace, and Design Space.
This session is designed specifically for faculty to learn more about the technology available in each of these spaces and how Alkek One can support both faculty and student endeavors. This tour is in-person; please meet on the first floor of the library in the open area near the ITAC help desk.
**Virtual option just added for January 22 at 1:00 pm! Choose this option if you want to attend remotely-- you'll experience a virtual tour and get to chat with all of the space supervisors via a synchronous Zoom session.
