The Retention Management and Planning Office is currently looking for staff, faculty or students to assist with Welcome Tents scheduled for Tuesday, January 17 and Wednesday, January 18.
Welcome Tents is an event that occurs during the first two days of every long semester to help new and returning students find classes, hand out academic planners, and give information about campus resources.
We are also collecting giveaway items to hand out to students during Welcome Tents. If you have items to share or have questions about Welcome Tents, please email Emma Carberry at firstname.lastname@example.org or call the Retention Management and Planning Office at 512-245-5500.
You can select shifts from 8:00-10:00 AM, 10:00 AM-12:00 PM, and 12:00-1:00 PM (breakdown). Please sign up using this reservation system. Please meet at the electronic sign at the Quad at the beginning of your shift. Dress for the weather and to be comfortable standing! If weather appropriate please wear a TXST shirt and a name badge.
