This Shop Talks session will introduce graduate students to the most common types and sources of funding, the mechanisms funders use to disseminate opportunities, and the search tools available at Texas State. The focus of this hands-on workshop will be Pivot™, a funding database to which Texas State subscribes. You will learn how to set up your account, how to use the advanced search features to generate the best results, and how to track opportunities and save searches. You will also find out more about the services available through The Graduate College for students seeking external funding.
