If you work with large data files or with data collected over time, SPSS syntax can make your life easier. SPSS syntax allows you to preserve a record of the data management and analytical tasks performed on a data file.

This training seminar will help you get started using SPSS syntax and will provide handson training in the following areas:

• Controlling the SPSS environment
• Getting started with writing syntax
• Using syntax to automate tasks
• Using random processes
• Managing data
• Managing output (time permitting)

Prerequisites:
1. Experience using the SPSS software window interface (point and click).
