Best practices in assessment of teaching and learning require that time for review, reflection, and collaboration be scheduled on a regular basis. As we complete year two of our Personalized Academic & Career Exploration (PACE) initiative, I am pleased to invite you to join me for an engaging afternoon of discussion of our progress toward achieving Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) goals. I hope you can join me on Monday, May 5, between 1:00pm and 4:15pm (check-in is at 12:45pm) in LBJ Student Center 3-14.1.
University Seminar is key to our success with first-year students. As a US 1100 faculty member, your commitment to University College is especially appreciated. I hope you can join me and gain a deeper understanding of how the work you are completing with your students relates to other PACE Center initiatives in academic advising, career exploration, peer mentoring, and academic coaching. I will also share details regarding my vision for the future growth and development of all PACE programs, including US 1100, at this Summit.
Schedules are tight and service expectations are high as we conclude spring 2014. As such, you are welcome to join me for the entire afternoon or for as much as your schedule will allow. As noted on the schedule, defined times for sessions throughout the afternoon have been identified. I hope this plan supports your participation to the extent you are available.
