Description:

It is well documented that graduate students are far more successful in their graduate studies and future careers if they engage in productive mentorship relationships. Start the spring semester off on the right foot by attending this brown bag session. You will learn how to seek out mentors, what to expect from a mentor and what your role in a mentorship relationship involves. For those of you that plan to become university and community college professors this session will also be valuable because you are the mentors of the future.

The brown bag will be led by Terence Parker, Assistant Director for Retention Management and Planning in the Division of Student Affairs. Terence is a driving force behind Texas State University’s mentoring program called Bobcat Bond.

Bring your lunch. Beverages and desserts will be provided.

This is a great opportunity to meet other graduate students.
