Description:

This combined Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE), Stop the Bleed®, and Hands-Only CPR course is provided through a collaborative partnership between the University Police Department and Emergency Management. The training equips participants with the essential knowledge and practical skills needed to respond effectively during life-threatening emergencies. While presented in a condensed format, the course focuses on the most critical concepts and actions civilians can take to improve survival outcomes, including recognizing and responding to active violence incidents, controlling severe bleeding, and performing lifesaving chest compressions. Emphasizing hands-on practice and real-world application, this training provides attendees with the confidence and skills to act quickly and effectively until professional responders arrive.
