SPEAKER BIO:
Jon Lucquête is a creative and versatile professional with over 15 years of experience leading multidisciplinary and multicultural teams across various industries including market development, sales, art production, and film. Specializing in video content production, Jon has collaborated with organizations, universities, and businesses, and leaders of many levels to craft compelling storytelling strategies that amplify brand presence.
Currently, Jon is a Graduate Assistant at Texas State University’s McCoy College of Business, where he leads the Graduate Alumni Database Project, utilizing advanced research techniques and data analysis to support the college’s marketing and alumni engagement objectives. He maintains a strong track record, achieving a 97% success rate in alumni outreach.
As a Producer, Director, Cinematographer, and Editor at Round 14 Films, Jon excels at guiding both experienced and novice talent through the creation process, creating dynamic commercials, mini-documentaries, short films, and other marketing videos. With a talent for storytelling and genuine care of multicultural communities, Jon uses his sales and management competencies to bridge tales that matter to others. His work encompasses every step of filmmaking, from ideation and pre-production planning through post-production completion. He is currently working on a documentary that was inspired in Trinidad and Tobago, began filming in Canada, will continue in London this summer, and then Peru this fall as he traces the steps of one of history’s 300 greatest women artists.
Previously, Jon honed his skills at Gil Bruvel, Inc., where he developed unique marketing strategies and produced creative video content that resonated with diverse audiences. He also contributed to the art studio’s operations, utilizing heavy equipment in an innovative and practical manner.
Before diving into the world of film, Jon managed market development for BDS Connected Solutions, LLC., overseeing sales training, market analysis, and event planning for leading semiconductor brands. Notably, he represented these brands at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas and earned multiple performance awards, including “Employee of the Year.”
With a robust background in both the creative and business sides of production, Jon combines an MBA in International Business with dual bachelor’s degrees: a BFA in Theatre/Film Production and a BA in Anthropology. This multidisciplinary approach blends creative storytelling and cultural representation with strategic market insight, empowering clients to tell their stories effectively and reach their target audiences.
Outside of his professional pursuits, Jon Lucquête is the Vice President of Corporate Relations of Level Up, a graduate student organization, helps care for rescue horses, and volunteers to help keep the beautiful San Marcos river clean. He enjoys his time at Texas State University, continuously seeking opportunities for personal and professional growth.
