Description:

Recruiting and retaining domestic and international graduate students is pivotal to Texas State’s Run to R1. However, international students have many new experiences and challenges to navigate, from visa processes to living in new places with cultural differences. This workshop will provide an overview of the visa process, student work requirements, enrollment policies, and cultural differences along with several resources for faculty, staff, and students. Graduate advisors, support staff, and interested graduate faculty are invited to learn more about ways to help international graduate students thrive.
