This Graduate College workshop has been created for graduate program advisors, staff, and others who are interested in effective recruiting practices for their graduate program. We will cover available resources at Texas State for the purpose of recruiting our own undergraduate students and highlight the most recent practices established for recruiting students from other universities. In addition, we will review how to (1) use data from institutional research for recruitment; (2) create faculty ambassadors to assist in recruitment; (3) establish processes for reaching out to potential applicants; and, (4) use recruitment channels, such as career fairs, social media platforms and other applications, for developing a pipeline of potential graduate students.
