Description:

One of the most prevalent methods used by prospective applicants to make first contact with a university about graduate degrees is through a Request For Information (RFI) form, and The Graduate College’s RFI form was completed by over 3,600 prospective applicants last year. This workshop will begin by presenting what happens after the RFI form is submitted, including what communications those prospective applicants receive. The workshop will then move to step-by-step instructions for how program advisors and support staff can access information about prospective applicants that have indicated interest in their program through the RFI, and what to do with that information once you have it. The purpose of this workshop is to provide information and tools to programs for robust recruiting purposes related to the RFI form. All graduate advisors and support staff are welcome to attend!
