Description:

Available on both the San Marcos and Round Rock campus, ClassTech Version 4.0 is an orientation session that gives an overview of how to use a standard classroom equipped with Generation 4 technology. These sessions will be held both online and in-person. If attending in-person, you will have the opportunity to try out the technology during the allotted time.

In this class, you will learn how to:
• Utilize two displays to view content privately while showing content for students.
• Maximize inclusivity in the classroom with technology components like the document camera, room
camera, microphones, etc.
• Access YuJa and Zoom on the classroom desktop for lecture capture or video conferencing.
• Operate all technology components in a Gen. 4 classroom to enhance the learners’ experience and bring ease to the instructor.

Course Requirements:
Visit/Enroll in the TXST Classroom Technology Resource ( https://canvas.txstate.edu/courses/1833472 ) prior to attending to familiarize yourself with the technology.

Who Should Attend:
Faculty teaching in a Gen. 4 classroom and/or staff supporting these classrooms. If you are not sure if your classroom is Gen. 4, visit the IT Supported Classrooms list ( https://itac.txstate.edu/support/academic-classrooms/list ) to learn more about your room assignments.

Important note:
These sessions will be held both in-person and online. Please sign up for the session that suits you. There must be a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 15 (in-person) & 20 (online) per session. Sessions less than 5 will be cancelled.
