Join us in Alkek One for Spring Maker Day! We will be featuring making interactive Mother's Day cards with micro:bit and craft materials. Creative computation has never been easier! We’re working with micro:bit (link) controllers to create electronic greeting cards. Otherwise, we will have sample materials for exploration and experimentation in workshops (we call them playshops!). YWe will also have micro:bits for purchase in Alkek One for the playshops. Please reach out to one of us and let us know if you would like to purchase a micro:bit.ou can always buy a micro:bit for your design when the playshops are over.
We will also have all the traditional art and craft supplies for painting, drawing, markering, collaging, sewing, different types of paper, simple bookmaking, and more!
Let us know if there is something you would like to create and we will try to have supplies for it.
Maker Day will take place in the Maker Space in Alkek One on the first floor of Alkek Library. Brief tours will be available of the various awesome equipment and spaces in the Maker Space and in Alkek One. You can come and go as you please.
