Description:

The integrity of research data is of the utmost importance to researchers, but protections required by law and policy vary depending on classification level, the type of data being studied or gathered, and the specific research activities occurring. These factors all have an impact on how data ought to be managed.

The Information Security Office (ISO) will discuss how researchers, and those considering research topics, should consider classifying research data, review best practices for protecting their data, and provide guidance for accessing and using a number of pre-existing tools available to faculty and staff researchers here at Texas State.
