Description:

Many external funders are committed to recruiting and retaining students from groups that have historically been underrepresented in graduate school and professional disciplines. This session will teach you how to conduct population-specific funding searches and identify external funding opportunities for underrepresented minorities (URMs), women, LGBTQIA+ students, veterans, and students with disabilities. Attendees will learn about specific funders and funding opportunities that seek a diverse applicant pool, with a particular focus on Black/African American, Latinx/Hispanic, AAPI, and Native American and Alaska Native students. If you are an incoming or current student from an underrepresented population in graduate and professional studies, this session is for you!

Please note: Dollars & Sense presentations do not count toward the Shop Talk Certificate of Completion.
