Description:

Nov 20 from 10:30-12 pm:

Depositing your scholarly work in an open access repository has a positive effect on visibility, use, impact, and longevity. This workshop will provide TXST researchers with practical guidance on how to incorporate self-archiving into your research and publication workflow. It will cover how to determine what a publisher will allow, negotiating your copyright terms with a publisher, and how to choose a license for your work. Hands-on training will demonstrate how to submit your work to the TXST Digital Collections Repository and cover what types of materials to submit and what to include. Attendees will also have a chance to ask questions and learn tips for streamlining the process.

Speakers: Laura Waugh, Digital Collections Librarian ; Stephanie Towery, Copyright Office ; Arlene Salazar, Education Librarian
