Student Diversity and Inclusion will be hosting The Faculty Institute on Saturday, April 4th, 2020. The Faculty Institute is designed for faculty, staff, and administrators interested in learning how to better serve our first-generation students attending post-secondary education. This hands-on workshop will be facilitated by researcher, theorist, and thought leader Dr. Laura Rendon who is known for the development of Validation Theory, a strengths-based framework for student success as well as her book Sentipensante (Sensing/Thinking) Pedagogy: Educating for Wholeness, Social Justice and Liberation.
