Description:

Quality Matters is a leader in quality assurance for online education and has received national recognition for its peer-based approach to continuous improvement in online education and student learning. Texas State instructors who teach online or hybrid courses are required to complete a professional development program, and this approved Quality Matters workshop is accepted for this requirement. This workshop is open to all Texas State faculty and staff.

To be certified as qualified to teach online at Texas State, complete the one-day Quality Matters “Designing Your Online Course” workshop, as well as the Texas State supplement to the workshop, “Teaching Online at TXST” in TRACS. The entire TRACS supplement should take no longer than an hour to complete. You will be added to this TRACS supplement upon your registration for the QM workshop.

Training will occur in UAC 424 on Thursday, August 22, 2019, and Friday, August 23, 2019. Seating for each session is limited to 20 participants. Only register for one of the sessions since the course on Friday is a repeat of the course on Thursday. Lunch will be provided on each workshop day.

If you reserve a seat for one of these workshops and subsequently cancel, please notify the Office of Distance and Extended Learning at distanceed@txstate.edu.
