Join Alkek Library during Banned Books Week 2018 as we celebrate our freedom to read!
Banned Books Week was launched in 1982 by the American Library Association in response to a sudden surge in the number of challenges to books in schools, bookstores and libraries. According to the American Library Association more than 11,300 books have been challenged since 1982.
Students, staff, and faculty are invited to sign up for one or more five minute slots. Bring your own favorite banned book to read or choose one from our selection.
