Top Hat: Getting Started
Description:

Top Hat is the university’s Student Response System, available now for all faculty and staff. Participants of this workshop will gain an understanding of course creation and best practices for using Top Hat in the classroom.

Participants will learn:
- How to create materials in Top Hat
- How to tie those materials to Canvas
- How to use the materials in live and asynchronous classes
- Best practices for using student response systems

Note: This workshop is only open to Faculty and Staff, and may be cancelled if fewer than 5 people register.
In an effort to go green, we are not providing printed training materials for this workshop.

Online Sessions will be conducted online using the Zoom application. A Zoom Pro account is provided free of charge for current faculty, staff, and students. A computer or mobile device with an internet connection, speakers/headphones, and microphone are required to join. A webcam is not required to attend this workshop, but is necessary to use the full features of Zoom.
