Matt Andersen is the CEO of Westlake Securities, the #1 most active middle market investment bank in Austin and San Antonio. He is also the author of the new book, Completing the Deal. With a remarkable career spanning over two decades, Matt has personally orchestrated over 140 successful transactions, with a cumulative value exceeding $5 billion in private placement and M&A deals.
Matt’s expertise and unparalleled vision for maximizing the growth and value of middle market companies has left an indelible mark on industries across Texas and around the country.
He has invested in 13 private companies and has had a board role on several of these organizations. In the recent past, he served as an advisor to companies whose combined revenue totals more than $2 billion. Matt has an MBA in Banking, attended executive programs at Harvard and the University of Chicago, and holds FINRA series 6, 7, 63, 65, 24, 27 and 79 licenses, and has a passion for speaking to university business students. Originally from Hinsdale, IL., Matt and his family have lived in central Texas for 15 years.
