Topic:
Coordinating with the Coordinating Board: Applying for External Funding from Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board
Description:

In this lecture, Dr. Eric Paulson and Dr. Russ Lang will discuss their experiences with external funding from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB). Specifically, the lecture will focus on (a) similarities and differences between other grant agencies and THECB; (b) where to find RFAs; (c) how to navigate the THECB’s application processes; and (d) nuanced strategies intended to increase probability of writing a successful THECB proposal. Following the lecture, participants will be able to determine if THECB is a potential source of funding for their research interests and how to begin preparing a quality proposal.
