What do virtual networking settings look like? How do I meet and connect with people online? What types of questions should I ask?
Because networking looks different than it did a year ago, questions such as these are common today. The Graduate College, Career Services, and the School of Social Work want to support graduate students by answering questions such as these. This session is designed to help graduate students build their networking toolbox, including how to introduce yourself and open the conversation, conduct an informational interview, and get tips for looking your best in virtual networking spaces (like Zoom). There will be time to put your new knowledge and skills to practice with multiple breakout sessions. You will also leave with a resource toolkit with more information and services to help you feel more confident in your next networking session!
