Canvas, the university’s new learning management system, provides an exciting opportunity for faculty to enhance teaching through greater student engagement, which is known to be the greatest single predictor of academic success. Migrating courses from TRACS to Canvas is less about the “how” of technology and more about the “why” of conceptualizing your course. The session will focus on ways to create personalized learning experiences, increase meaningful student engagement in the classroom, and motivate students with richer content. This workshop will explore strategies for making this transition more valuable to faculty through best practices and timely advice. This interactive workshop will be a motivational forum to support faculty to enhance course management and content through Canvas.
