10/1/19: Inclusion & Diversity: Building a Diverse Graduate Program
Description:

This interactive workshop will assist faculty in building a diverse graduate program in three ways: 1) mentor and encourage diverse undergraduate students to aspire for a graduate degree; 2) mentor and recruit academically talented diverse students to pursue graduate school; and, 3) mentor and retain diverse graduate students to succeed and graduate. Dr. Bowman will present principles to support faculty in this role, and Dr. Paulson will provide practical guidelines pertinent to The Graduate College at Texas State.
This workshop will address the university’s stated mission and shared value of promoting a diverse student body and inclusive campus community and its goal to promote the success of all students.
