Session I “Managing Student Misconduct”
Presenters: Ismael Amaya, Assistant Dean of Students and Kendra Wesson, Conduct Officer
• The conduct review process in the Dean of Students Office and options APDs may have while abroad and upon their return.
• Authority and guidance for addressing conduct concerns.
• Discuss some of the most common conduct concerns and how to address them.
• Recommendations for documenting incidents and for referring incidents to other authorities or resources.
Session II “Title IX”
Presenter: Alexandria Hatcher, Deputy Title IX Coordinator
This presentation will provide an overview of Title IX and TSUS mandatory reporting requirements. This overview will include explanations of allegations under the TSUS Sexual Misconduct Policy. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in educational exercises designed to reflect on Title IX processes and primary prevention strategies.
