In 2023, a first-year advising center and a career and life design office at Oakland University were asked to figure out why exploring students weren't being retained at the same rate as their peers, and to do something about it together.
The presenters share what came out of that work: resources, campus partnerships, and practices built over three years, plus how they think about the stigma attached to being undecided. Participants practice three techniques for supporting students who are exploring or rethinking a major.
