Faculty Focus: Strategies for Conducting Peer Teaching Evaluations
Description:

This session supports faculty serving as peer teaching evaluators in alignment with university policy for promotion of academic professional faculty outlined in AA/PPS No. 04.02.21. Peer teaching evaluations are conducted by faculty chosen by and at the discretion of departmental/school personnel committees and are a key component of the promotion packet for academic professional faculty seeking promotion. The session will clarify expectations for evaluators selected by personnel committees. Attendees will learn best practices for assessing teaching effectiveness and gain strategies to ensure fair, rigorous, and constructive evaluations.

While all faculty are welcome to attend, this session is tailored to those conducting teaching evaluations of academic professional faculty seeking promotion.
