This webinar is for prospective graduate student applicants for the FY2027 National Science Foundation’s Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP), for which applications are expected to be due in fall 2026. Find out about the anticipated eligibility requirements, application components, and competition timeline. Attendees will also be given information about this year's campus application process for graduate advisees, which starts with an optional summer application accelerator in Canvas.
Although attending this webinar is highly recommended for all prospective graduate applicants, we understand that you may not be available during the days and times it is offered. This session will therefore be recorded and will be made available in The Graduate College's Canvas site for prospective graduate-level applicants.
If you are unable to attend but are interested in applying to the NSF GRFP during this cycle, please contact us at gcexternalfunds@txstate.edu to request access to the recording, ideally by July 15, 2026, so that you can participate in the summer application accelerator and join our graduate advising cohort.
Undergraduate students interested in applying to the NSF GRFP should contact Kathryn McDaniel in The IDEA Center at IDEAFellow@txstate.edu.
Please note: Dollars & Sense presentations do not count toward the Shop Talk Certificate of Completion.
