Dollars & Sense Presentation: Fulbright U.S. Student Program
Description:

This introductory workshop is for prospective graduate & graduate alumni applicants to the Fulbright U.S. Student Program — the U.S. government's flagship international education and cultural exchange program, sponsored by the Department of State.

The Fulbright U.S. Student Program (FUSP) offers funded research, study, and teaching opportunities in over 140 countries to U.S. citizens. Graduate students and graduate alumni from all academic and creative & performing arts fields may apply for Fulbright Study/Research awards, which provide grants for individually designed research/creative projects, or English Teaching Assistant (ETA) awards, through which grantees are placed in schools overseas to supplement local English language instruction.

Attend this presentation to learn about this year’s competition for the 2026-2027 awards, including eligibility requirements, the campus deadline, and the application process for TXST graduate students and graduate alumni.

During the presentation, attendees will hear from TXST Fulbright Semi-Finalists and Finalists about their experiences with the Fulbright application process and their recommendations for success.

Undergraduate students and undergraduate alumni should contact the Fulbright Program Advisers for undergraduate-level applicants: Dr. Lisa Haegele (haegele@txst.edu) and Cathlin Noonan, MFA, (IDEAFellow@txstate.edu).
