YuJa is Texas State University's video content management system (VCMS). YuJa allows users to create, upload, edit, and share videos and other media.
Canvas is Texas State's learning management system (LMS). Canvas allows you to build a digital learning environment to simplify teaching and elevate learning.
This workshop is intended for current Texas State Instructors, and we ask that you have a firm grasp of the basic functions of both YuJa and Canvas before attending this session.
Participants in YuJa for Canvas will learn:
- How to embed an already-uploaded video in any page in Canvas
- The ins and outs of creating a Canvas course channel in YuJa
- How students can submit videos via YuJa
- Various ways students can interact with your videos
- How to create and grade in-video quizzes

Online Sessions will be conducted online using the Zoom application. A Zoom Pro account is provided free of charge for current faculty, staff, and students. Prior to class, participants will be sent a meeting invitation via email which will include additional instructions on how to download and setup Zoom. Participants will join the meeting from a quiet space of their choosing. A computer or mobile device with an internet connection, speakers/headphones, and microphone are required to join. A webcam is not required to attend this workshop, but is necessary to use the full features of Zoom.
