Texas State has historically embraced a strong and successful culture of strategic planning. In support of this philosophy, beginning spring 2012, all academic departments/schools/colleges and administrative departments/units/divisions will begin developing strategic plans for 2012-2017 which will align with the recently approved University goals and initiatives. The new planning cycle will be implemented in fall 2012.
This session will review the 2012-2017 university goals and supporting initiatives, as well as an approved template for developing unit plans. Additionally, the presenters will share progress already achieved in the process, along with a timeline for future steps in the planning cycle. All academic and administrative department heads, as well as interested faculty and staff should benefit from this informative discussion.
