Description:

This one-day hands-on workshop targets faculty planning to submit proposals to NIH for research funding. Topics covered will be how to determine which IC and study sections are good fits, how to position yourself to be competitive, how to structure your Specific Aims, what needs to be accomplished in each section of the application, and common mistakes to avoid. At the conclusion of the workshop, each participant will have a well-defined path forward to developing and writing their proposals. Participants should bring a laptop, IPad, or other devices for accessing the internet for some of the hands-on exercises. Light refreshments/coffee and lunch will also be provided.
