Description:

This one-day hands-on workshop targets faculty planning to submit proposals to NSF for research funding, with special attention to NSF CAREER and NSF Core (unsolicited) programs. The outcome of the workshop should be that each participant will have a clear understanding of how to structure her/his NSF proposal, what needs to be accomplished in each section, and common mistakes to avoid. At the conclusion of the workshop, each participant will have a well-defined path forward to developing and writing their proposals. Participants should bring a laptop, IPad, or other device for accessing the internet for some of the hands-on exercises. Light refreshments/coffee and lunch will also be provided.
