Topic Details

Description:

Learn how to create GIS data from tabular data showing address information or location coordinates. Attendees will also learn how to explore some basic statistics about such information including their patterns, distribution and intensity. This is a hands-on workshop so attendees will have the chance to practice everything taught during the lesson.

NB: This is an advanced topic so attendees are recommended to first take one of the basic GIS Courses such as Basics of ArcGIS I and II or Where there is no ArcGIS - Exploring Open Source GIS I and II (if they have no prior knowledge of GIS or the ArcGIS software) before this one if possible. This workshop is highly recommended for people in Criminal Justice, Political Science, and Health related disciplines.
