Topic Details

Description:

Learn how to use GIS to solve problems like: finding shortest path (distance/time) to a location, finding the closest service/facility, determining service areas of businesses etc. This is a hands-on workshop so attendees will have the chance to practice everything taught during the lesson.

NB: This is an advanced topic so attendees are recommended to first take one of the basic GIS Courses such as Introduction to GIS / Mapping or Exploring Open Source GIS I (if they have no prior knowledge of GIS or the ArcGIS software) before this one if possible. This workshop is highly recommended for persons in Business Administration, Geography, Retail, Marketing, Transportation and Urban Planning and related disciplines.

Also, since this session is hybrid (in-person and online), participants who join via online (zoom) are expected to have the required software, ArcGIS Pro, already installed on their computer prior to attending this workshop.
