Description:

“Designing a Service Learning Study Abroad Program” is an informative webinar designed to help participants understand the steps needed to initialize and facilitate a service learning study abroad program. Unlike other sessions that have focused on the steps to develop a short-term study abroad program at Texas State, Dr. Lori Assaf will share insights and advice on how to blend teaching, service learning, and research in an international context. Together we will explore unique features of a service learning study abroad course and review ways to identify learning and research goals that benefit students and faculty.
