Are you looking for some ideas to improve your teaching? Are you curious to know what an award-winning professor at Texas State University does in class? Sue Beebe, recipient of the 2012 Presidential Award for Excellence in Teaching, will lead a discussion of principles and practices for effective classroom teaching. Topics will include how to plan for success, engage and motivate students, facilitate discussion and collaborative learning in large and small classrooms, implement writing-to-learn strategies, and more.

Professor Sue Beebe is Senior Lecturer and Director of Lower-Division Studies in the Department of English at Texas State University. Her areas of specialization include both written and oral communication, composition pedagogy, and the preparation of instructional and teaching assistants.
