Description:

In 2011, Texas State University was designated a Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI). Now, over 39% of our student population is comprised of Hispanic students. What does it mean to be a Hispanic-Serving Institution? How can faculty engage in meaningful efforts for students to realize their goals and achievements?

Faculty are invited to participate in this session to learn more about what it means to be HSI faculty as well as meaningful ways to serve Hispanic students who come into our classrooms.
