Description:

In this session we will be introducing Open Educational Practice (OEP) concepts and discussing the relevance of OEP in the classroom. This will include meaning-making around OEP, focusing on Open Educational Resources (OER) and Open Pedagogy (OP) in an active and collaborative learning environment. Faculty will walk away with an understanding of Open Educational Practices and ideas for implementing Open Educational Resources and Open Pedagogy in their classroom.

Tricia Boucher is the Open Pedagogy Librarian and STEM Librarian, and has a lovely cat named Squirrel!
Isabelle Antes is the Open Educational Resources Librarian and has two black cats - Cricket & Radar!

The presenters have requested materials for attendees to prepare prior to the session:
- An assignment from a course you teach where students create an artifact and have some type of choice (in topic, product, etc.)
- The rubric you use to assess that assignment
