Universal design for learning (UDL) is a well-recognized, scientifically-based approach to improve teaching and learning that is particularly relevant in the digital age. It entails best practices that reduce barriers based on disabilities or language proficiency, maintains rigorous academic standards, and enhances effective engagement for all students. UDL promotes flexible learning environments that recognizes differences in learning styles. This workshop will explore how faculty can use UDL to make your classes more inclusive and enhance learning. We will have an interactive discussion with faculty who have found UDL to be helpful and share lessons learned.
