Laboratory Safety Officer Training
Description:

Working in research or teaching laboratories presents unique safety challenges. Hazardous materials are abundant, and lab workers handle a greater variety of hazardous substances than do most other professionals. This training covers the OSHA Laboratory Standard and Chemical Hygiene Plan requirements and advises you on how to achieve and maintain compliance.

This in-person training is required for all new Principal Investigators and their appointed Safety Officers who operate laboratories where hazardous materials are stored. Existing PIs and their Lab Safety Officers who have not previously attended this training must also attend.
