Topic:
03/27/2018 Fostering a Campus Culture of Inclusion and Respect
Description:

This workshop will engage participants in a thoughtful discussion of how Texas State can foster inclusion and respect within our university, from the classroom to the campus. While we have a highly diverse student body and we are pursuing a more diverse faculty and staff, we need to achieve a more holistically inclusive culture. The presenters will explore the fundamentals of inclusion through encouraging self-reflection, defining basic concepts, describing current demographics, providing teaching exemplars, and exploring why inclusion is so important to the future success of our university. This workshop will initiate an ongoing Faculty Focus series on “Diversity and Inclusion.” Please join us and bring your colleagues!
