This year’s Equality U will be held on November 11, 2017 in the LBJ Student Center. Our featured speakers this year’s conference are Shakil Choudhury, author of Deep Diversity, and Symone Sanders, former Press Secretary for Bernie Sanders. In honor of Choudhury’s groundbreaking work, this year’s EU theme is “Deep Diversity.”
Each team will work with students in small groups before and after each plenary session. Each facilitation team will work exclusively with the same small group of students throughout the day. The teams will be provided with facilitator guides and a training one week before the conference that will cover the curriculum designed to assist with processing and discussing the concepts.
