For the Thursday, May 12, 2:00 p.m. commencement ceremony, the divisions of Information Technology and Academic Affairs will be providing staff ushers. The shift is from 12:15 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
For the Thursday, May 12, 6:00 p.m. commencement ceremony, the divisions of Student Affairs and Academic Affairs will be providing staff ushers. The shift is from 4:15 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
For the Friday, May 13, 10:00 a.m. commencement ceremony, the divisions of Finance and Support Services and Academic Affairs will be providing staff ushers. The shift is from 8:15 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
For the Friday, May 13, 2:00 p.m. commencement ceremony, the divisions of University Advancement and Academic Affairs will be providing staff ushers. The shift is from 12:15 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
For the Saturday, May 14, 10:00 a.m. commencement ceremony, the divisions of Information Technology and Academic Affairs will be providing staff ushers. The shift is from 8:15 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Your assistance is very much appreciated during this special day in the lives of many of our Texas State students. As a staff usher, you will be stationed at one of the entrances to Strahan Coliseum and greet candidates, faculty and guests, and hand out programs. You will also direct guests to the restrooms, stroller check-in, concession stands, and lost & found if necessary.
Ushers will be provided with a Texas State staff usher t-shirt. When you register for the appropriate commencement ceremony, please indicate what shirt size you need in the Request Special Accommodations section, or, let us know you already have a t-shirt. Khaki or black pants/slacks are suitable. Shoes should be comfortable.
Reserved parking near Strahan is available for staff ushers, please contact Kristin McDaniel at commencement@txstate.edu to make those arrangements. Lanita Legan will be providing shuttle service to Strahan from the LBJSC bus loop. Please contact Lanita at lh23@txstate.edu or (512) 245-8295 to make those arrangements. Walking to Strahan will likely be the quickest way to get to the coliseum.
